PLAYBOY MANBABY - (PHOENIX, AZ) - Playboy Manbaby's explosive energy is matched only by the speed of the singers hyper-literate, contrarian quips. Post-irony meets room-wrecking riffs, with anthems that vacillate between indie-punk profundity and the utterly absurd. Either way, the urge to sing (and jump) along is inescapable.
BURGER MONDAY (BMORE) - Featuring two members of Gay Baseball, Burger Monday isnt so much an alter ego as an opposite of even more outsized attraction. Aggro-punk aggression meets epic post-punk platitudes of the most epic order. Double Dagger reincarnate? You decide.
P111AR - (BMORE) - The term Noise Pop cannot contain the utter devastation wrought by P111Ars use of both pop tones and industrial electronics. Aggro R&B? Noise with a satin R&B center? Were at a loss for words other than engaging and INTENSE.
