Uncle Mary Halloween Spook Show
KALA Performance Space celebrates the thinning of the veils with Portland Trio Uncle Mary and the Juke Joint Revivalists. Costumes encouraged! Complimentary sweet and savory treats! Plus a few surprise guests.
Well hear from Big Mama Thorton, Tampa Red, Louis Jordon, Tommy Dorsey and moregreat tunes from the 30s played with authentic gusto by Uncle Mary featuring their double-bass, washboard, guitar and the sweetest 3-part harmonies. Plus Uncle Marys originals with a Halloween spirit like Blood on the Accordion, Stabbah and Mr. Milton based on an original Portland ghost story, and Charles Sheffields Voodoo Workin.
