MCT 2024 SEASON SUBSCRIPTION
A season subscription includes one ticket per subscriber to each of the following four productions plus our annual New Works Weekend.
March 22-April 14 The Odd Couple: Original Version and Female Version, in Repertoire Both Versions by Neil Simon Original Version directed by Stephen Phillipps This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys assemble for cards in the messy apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. Recently separated Felix Unger arrives, fastidious and suicidal. After the clean freak and the slob decide to room together with hilarious results, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind. Female version directed by Simon Hayward Instead of a poker party, messy Olive Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit, and fastidious Florence Unger comes to share the apartment. Simon brilliantly translates his original classic, reimagining the familiar and hilarious situations for two women who cant possibly coexist, but somehow manage to do just that.
May 17-June 9 Beckys New Car By Steven Dietz Directed by Hannah Eckstein Becky Foster is mired in middle age, middle management, and a middling marriage. Then one night a grief-stricken millionaire appears and offers her a new lifeand the audience is offered a chance to ride along in a way that most plays wouldnt dare. It adds up to an exciting, delightful, and moving romp down the road not taken.

Sept. 20- Oct. 20 The Music Man Book, Music, and Lyrics by Meredith Willson Directed by Kathie Kratochvil Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. The Music Man follows fast-talking Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian. The whole family will be singing along with great and familiar songs like Seventy-Six Trombones, Ya Got Trouble, and Gary, Indiana.
Nov. 22-Dec. 22 Miracle on 34th Street, The Play Adapted by Mountain Community Theatre from the Novel by Valentine Davies Director To Be Announced "This is a tale that we want to believe in, that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards. What we want Christmas to be all about, really." So writes the Santa Cruz Sentinel of this most heartwarming holiday story about Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, who gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing that tests one little girl's belief in Santa. This MCT staple has delighted SLV families for over 40 years.
