John Roberts and Friends Concert
Widely acclaimed for his lively and entertaining presentations of English folk songs, John Roberts has performed at major festivals, colleges, clubs and coffeehouses throughout the US, Canada, and his native Britain. He sings the ballads and songs of rural pursuits, of social and sociable situations, of industrial toil and strife, of the sea and much more, giving an appreciation of the diversity, and vitality of the English folk tradition.
Originally, this was to be a concert with John Roberts and and his long time singing partner Tony Barrand, but sadly, Tony is in the hospital. So some friends (David Jones, Ken Schatz, and Heather Wood) who have sung and played with John over the years will be joining him for this concert.
