Snap on 2&4 w/ Stan Lassiter
Join us on Friday, April 25 as the Nashville Jazz Workshop welcomes guitar phenom Stan Lassiter to the Jazz Cave! Stan's performance will continue our Snap on 2&4 series.
Stan grew up in Tennessee and has enjoyed a remarkable career in music since teaching himself the guitar at the age of 13. From jamming with the Allman Brothers to opening for Sonny Stitt while still a young man, Stan eventually earned his Master's Degree in Pedagogy and Classical Guitar from the George Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.
Stan has released multiple recordings, from the mind-bending fusion of Psychic Sweat as the Stan Lassiter Group to his most recent solo work, Orpheus Naad. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of conventional music, and the combination of his masterful technique and fascinating philosophy on music creates for a truly unique experience. Stan also holds adjunct faculty positions at Fisk University and Belmont University.
Joining Stan will be his long-time band mates Dale Armstrong on drums and Roy Vogt on bass.
Admission is $20 / $10 high school and college students with ID.
