School of Rock Lynnwood presents Alternative Rock
The alternative rock scene of the 80s also saw the emergence of several influential bands that may not have achieved the same commercial success as the genre's biggest names, but left their mark nonetheless. Bands like Pavement, The Pixies, and Guided by Voices became cult favorites for their off-kilter approach to songwriting and experimentation with different genres. Multi-decade genre, this one will be fun to dig up new bands you may not have heard! Lots of effects and very specific instrumental parts here!
