CURTIS HAMMOND BAND

The Curtis Hammond Band is a high energy 9 piece R&B band from the Seattle area fronted by Curtis Hammond (2012 Washington Blues Society Best Male Vocalist nominee) and now features the extraordinary Danny Hoefer former lead guitarist for Tower of Power.The band was a Washington Blues Society "best band" nominee in 2013 and 2008, and features a talented rhythm section made up of Jim Brandt on bass, rhythm guitarist Mark Strom, drummer Steve Thompson, Dave Teitzel on Hammond and Yamaha keyboards along with a stellar three piece horn section made up of David Bernhardt on trumpet, John Coffey on tenor and baritone saxes, and Craig "T-Bone" Daly on trombone.The band regularly packs blues lovers' favorite venues including The Highway 99 Blues Club, Oxford Saloon, Rockfish Bar and Grill, and the Jet and H2O among others..and has recently performed at special blues events including the Mount Baker and Rendezvous blues festivals, The "Bites" of Seattle and Tacoma, and the Anacortes Art and Music fair. And look for them soon on the award winning "Blues To Do" show on Public Access TV! The band has produced two CDs, including Baker's Dozen and it's most recent release, Take One, and has a large and loyal local fan base.
