The 21-year documentary A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE shifts the public's perception of disability from burden and pity to joyful relationship and celebration of life. This intimate film-portrait of Ron Taylor"s son Micah, his family and community reveals great new possibilities for all parents, professionals and caregivers when conscious nurturing occurs. Ron's camera is the eyes and ears for an audience who might well wonder: "How do you parent and educate a child who has so many differences in physical and mental abilities?" Filmed 11 years in Boulder Colorado and 10 years in Palm Beach County, this artfully constructed documentary advances our understanding of the changing practices and attitudes in our hi-tech society.
