Founded in 1993 by Larry Turley, Turley Wine Cellars has become the preeminent producer of zinfandel wines in California. Turley focuses primarily on old vine vineyards, planted with zinfandel and petite syrah grapes. They currently make 34 distinct wines from over 30 vineyards, some with vines dating back to the late 1800s. Turley wines are made in a quintessential California style: plush, rich, and full of ripe fruit. In 2013, Tegan Passalacqua became head winemaker and continues to produce exceptional wines, with perhaps an added layer of refinement. Passalacqua's focus on improving the vitality of the vineyards allows him to pick the grapes earlier, thereby reducing the alcohol without sacrificing the wine's intensity. Please join as we welcome two icons of the California wine industry, Larry Turley and Suzanne Chambers, for a dinner featuring the wines of Turley Wine Cellars with a special menu prepared by chefs Mark Sullivan and John Madriaga.
