3D Printing in Architecture
Attendees will learn what 3D printing is (and is not, which is just as valuable) and how to leverage 3D printing in their design development and client presentations. Examples of actual 3 D printing samples for architectural applications will be shown and the process to produce the model from CAD files will be described. In addition attendees will learn about the different 3D printing technologies and which ones are suitable for in-house use and which ones are primarily available through service providers.
Learning Objectives:
1.Understand how 3D printing fits into the architectural design process and the benefits.
2.Understand the different 3D printing technologies and which ones are appropriate for in-house use.
3.Understand the type of CAD file needed to take advantage of 3D printing
4.Understand the ROI for utilizing 3D printing.
