Tangerine Dreams Burlesque & Variety - Banned Books
The last week of September is Banned Books Week and New Orleans finest burlesque entertainers are kicking it off in style! Join us at Carrollton Station on 09/24 for Tangerine Dreams - Banned Books Burlesque! It's guaranteed to be an unforgettable night of burlesque based on your favorite Banned Books starring Trombone Squirty, Dick Jones, Juno, Reverend Spooky LeStrange and Cece Dynamite. Before during and after the show, patrons are encouraged to browse a Boozy Book Fair provided by Tubby and Coo's. General admission is $20 but VIP tickets ($40) will get you a front row cabaret table, a swag bag of bespoke goodies and a free raffle ticket! A raffle prize curated for booklovers will be raffled off during the show, the proceeds from which will be donated to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
Banned Books Burlesque was originally created by Rev. Spooky LeStrange and her Billion Dollar Baby Dolls and ran for 13 years until it was put on hold in 2020.
Tangerine Dreams is a one-of-a-kind avant-garde burlesque show that has been running since 2014. Featuring a rotating cast of local, national and international burlesque and variety performers, Tangerine Dreams is a show where performers can push the envelope, explore their artistic voice and have fun with the audience. Simply put, we do the weird stuff! Every month, the show meticulously curated to bring you a blend of classic, neo and nerdlesque like you've never seen before!
