Nevada County Birth & Family Wellness Fair
Please Join Us at the Nevada County Birth & Family Wellness Fair on Saturday September 30th, 2023 from 5-8pm!
This event is produced by Jamie Weaver, a local licensed midwife of Weaver Midwifery Services, as well as Dr. Maria DeCosse, D.C. of Bee Well Chiropractic in Nevada City, C.A.
Dr. Maria's office focuses on pregnancy and infant care. She loves to help your littles unwind any stress from birth that may lead to colic, torticollis, latching issues, skin issues, cranial (skull) distortions, constipation, etc. so they can eat, sleep, poop, grow, develop and learn with ease!!
Jamie loves to support you through pregnancy and help your babies come through the portal earth side, and she spends a lot of time in Ecuador with the local birth workers. She co-created the non-profit Uma Shungo (which means mind + heart connection). The purpose of this event is to raise funds to help this underserved community have access to birth resources! Uma Shungo is a family resource center run by local midwives in Quito, Ecuador.
We will have Honey of the Heart playing music from 6-8pm, a raffle full of amazing items to support families, pregnancy, birth and postpartum, a kids area, food and drink, and many sponsors who are involved in supporting this community showcasing their offerings!
We are so blessed to have such incredible people in this community - it really does take a village! This village is coming together to celebrate supporting you and your families in the most special of times. Come and hang with us, enjoy some food, let the kids play, let us oogle at your sweet babes, and let's dance to sweet heart opening music!!
