Tim Edey and Ross Ainslie at Edinburgh FC / EFC
The award-winning musical geniuses Ross Ainslie and Tim Edey are two old friends who are also two of the best musicians of their generation.
Tim is a former BBC Musician of the Year (BBC Folk Awards 2012) , winning best duo with Brendan Powers in the same year. He is The Chieftains guitarist and accordionist of choice. Highly rated as one of the top guitarists and melodeon players in Celtic music, he has recorded and toured with everyone from Frankie Gavin to Christy Moore to Altan to Natalie MacMaster.
Ross is a three times nominated Musician of the Year at the BBC Folk Awards 2013, 2016 and 2018, and has also won best duo with fellow piper Ali Hutton in 2017. He won Composer of the Year in 2015 at the Scots Trad Awards. Ross performs with numerous well-known bands - Treacherous Orchestra, Salsa Celtica, Dougie MacLean - and many more. He has four solo albums currently available, vis: Wide Open (2013), Remembering (2015), Sanctuary (2017) and Vana (2020).
Tim and Ross are two amazing musicians in their own right, but bring them together and the result is even greater than the sum of the parts. Scintillating, spectacular, breath-taking ... and all other words meaning the same are applicable to this remarkable fusion of music that Tim and Ross personify.

Accessibility
UCC has relatively easy access for wheelchair users. There's a portable ramp to enable the wheelchair to get past 3-4 steps from the street to the main door. Once inside everything is on the same level (ground floor) - performance room, bar and disabled-friendly toilets.
