How Many Producers Does It Take to Make a Movie -- Paul Lichtmann
Have you ever wondered what all those credits mean that come at the end of a feature film? Or, what is the difference between an agent, the producer and the director? Or, where does the money come from for a movie and how is it raised?
You can learn all this, and get answers to any other questions you may want answered about the movie and TV industry in this conversation with Paul Lichtman, a retired writer, actor and film and television producer with over 20 years of production experience. He is an engaging conversationalist and great story teller. Paul worked in many phases of the entertainment business, including as a writer and actor. He played the affable but cantankerous janitor in the TV series, "Barney Miller." His career then moved behind the camera to cinema and TV production, distribution and finance, where he contributed to more than 30 feature films and 130 hours of primetime television. The Writers' Guild recently recognized his contributions to two out of the ten best-written shows of the last seventy years , "All in the Family," and "Bob Newhart."
