About (Alexei Shishkin, Idaho, 2023, 88 min, in English) Seattle premiere!
Can independent art and a DIY ethos thrive in a world that seems more corporatized by the day? PLAY BY EAR uses Boises Treefort Music Fest as a window into the lives of touring musicians at various stages of their careers to see the grit and grind that go into putting on a show, surviving on the road, and building a local arts community. Featuring interviews with Treefort founders and artists including Built to Spill, Blood Lemon, Prism B!tch, Pictoria Vark, John Roseboro, Magic Sword, and others.
Screens w/ "Resolutions" Resolutions (Sylas Dall & Julie Kettman, US, 2023, 5 min, in English) Seattle premiere!
Seattle rock band Smokey Brights stylish music video Resolutions, set in an alternate 1950s, asks an all-too-familiar question: how do you make art and enough money to live? Frontwoman Kim must deal with a tyrannical boss and office tedium while daydreaming about being on the road and performing with her band.

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
If you have additional specific questions about accessibility at our venue, please contact our Patron Services Manager at maria@nwfilmforum.org
