Join us as we visit stormwater management green infrastructure projects in Brooklyn. This year we are including a stop at FloodNet sensor to learn about efforts to monitor inland flooding.
Stops include:
Stormwater management practices in newly renovated Jackie Robinson Playground in Bedford-Stuyvesant
Raingarden in Bedford-Stuyvesant
Stormwater management retrofits in NYCHA Brevoort Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant

We will have representatives from the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, the NYC Housing Authority and the FloodNet Project to talk to participants about their projects.
The tour is intended for natural resources managers, landscape architects, architects, researchers, students and others with an interest in green infrastructure and stormwater management.
The bus will depart from and return to the NYC Soil & Water Conservation District at 121 Sixth Avenue, Manhattan. Box lunch will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: we will be walking from the Jackie Robinson Playground to Brevoort Houses (about a third of a mile).
