Mike Recine at The Laugh Bar

The Laugh Bar is a newly opened venue that specializes in stand-up comedy. The Laugh Bar is located underneath and somehow around the corner from the already popular Drink in Burlington Vermont.

The Laugh Bar has a weekly open mic on Sunday's where the top local talent tests out their new material. Want to start your career in comedy? Come on down to the show and see if you have what it takes. Sign-ups start at 730 and show starts at 8. Each comic gets 5 mins onstage

The Laugh Bar also has a bi-weekly Comedy showcase that features some of the best in local and regional talent in the area. This week we have Mike Recine and James Huessy

Mike Recine is a funny, nice person who is sometimes awkward and anxious. He started comedy in Jersey at the age of 18 in 2006 and mostly performed for his very large Italian family. Since moving to New York in 2007 Mike has headlined top venues around the city and country. In 2010 he was nominated for Time Out New York's '~Joke of the Year' and an ECNY award for '~Best Emerging Comic' . Most recently, he was selected to perform in the '~New Faces Showcase' at the 2011 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Mike works really hard on his jokes and on being likeable. He owns 5 pellet guns and is happy to give you one.
