Pickin' for Peace: Vince Herman & Andy Thorn (of Leftover Salmon) with Alice DiMicele
You don't want to miss this! For the first time ever, Andy Thorn and Vince Herman will join Alice DiMicele on stage. Vince Herman is the charismatic singer, songwriter and guitarist best known as one of the founding members of Leftover Salmon, which formed in Boulder when two local bands (the Salmonheads and the Left Hand String Band) serendipitously played together in 1989. They pioneered a new genre by adding drums and rock elements to bluegrass. Today, they're still performing their "jam grass" hits in sold-out venues across the country. Vince's contagious spirit has expanded the joy of countless audiences. A few years ago, the band was jolted to an new level when they found banjo player Andy Thorn. With lightning-fast pickin' and unstoppable soul, Andy adds his fluid layer to any collaboration. He and Vince look forward to joining an incredible singer/songwriter who has empowered environmental and social movements around the country. Alice DiMicele recently recorded a new album with Vince. We're so excited and honored that these amazing musicians will play together to benefit RMPJC!
