SHIPBREAKERS, Directors: Ralph Vituccio, Tom Clancey, Paul Goodman At Alang, in India, on a six-mile stretch of smoky beach, 40,000 migrant workers tear apart half of the world's discarded ships. This is one of the most dangerous industrial sites in the world. Every ship is a sump of toxic waste. Environmental and human rights organizations are outraged. Yet ship breaking has become a booming business for a few privileged ship-yard owners in less developed countries such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
FROSTBITERS, Director: Thurston Smith Blizzards, ice storms, wind, and freezing waters. Sailing?! FROSTBITING! Frostbiters is a short documentary, which explores the extreme winter sailing sport of Frostbiting, where it is done, who does it, and why. Watch exclusive interviews with some of America's top sailors, hundreds of video clips and photography stills from sources and sailing organizations all over the Northeastern United States. See rare footage of sailing, racing, capsizing and swimming in some of the harshest winter weather conditions Mother Nature has to offer! Frostbiters is directed and produced by Emmy award winning Thurston Smith.
