About (Robert Altman, US, 1977, 124 min, in English)
In a dusty, underpopulated California resort town, naïve Pinky Rose gets a job as a physical therapist for seniors, where she meets Millie Lammoreaux. Millie's airs of sophistication and social confidence, though generally a nuisance to all around her, entrance Pinky Rose she considers Millie "the most perfect person she ever met," and says as much. When the two become roommates, Pinkys swooning idolatry evolves into something far stranger than either could have anticipated.
Sissy Spacek and Shelley Duvall's performances heighten the story into a fascinating nightmare not in the sense of horror, but in its feeling of growing uncertainty where the objective slippage between social and individual realities becomes eroded beyond recovery.

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
If you have additional specific questions about accessibility at our venue, please contact our Patron Services Manager at maria@nwfilmforum.org
