About (Robert Altman, US, 1975, 159 min, in English)
Dripping with sweat, ringing with the tinny twang of pedal steel, (very likely) reeking with the stale smell of beer, exhaust, corn-derived snacks, and deceitfully marketed cleaning and hygiene products... Nashville is one of those sensory movies. With 24 "main" characters, it contains a veritably infinite number of narrative dimensions for your brain to enjoy exploring. Altman's epic feat of filmmaking as sprawling and laden with egotistical delusion, ethical ambivalence, and confusingly genuine moments of transcendence as the good ol' USA herself deserves as close a watch on as big a screen as you can find. (The titanic, luminous curve of Cinerama would be ideal ... but that's still a few months away!)

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
If you have additional specific questions about accessibility at our venue, please contact our Patron Services Manager at maria@nwfilmforum.org
