Gary Ball Star Studded Memorial Benefit Concert & Commemoration of Ludlow Massacre
Please join us on April 17th for two amazing shows at the Nomad Theater! The early show (6-8 PM) will include multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and activist John McCutcheon, folk-singer/songwriter Alice DiMicele, and local folk favorites Elena Klaver and Linda Gore. After an intermission party from 8-9 PM, Vince Herman and Andy Thorn of legendary jam-grass band Leftover Salmon will take the stage with Alice DiMicele! To buy tickets to the 9 PM show only, please visit http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/611345.
John McCutcheon is equally known for his activism and storytelling as his powerful folk music. Before his set, longtime workers' rights activist Gary Cox will speak briefly. This show will commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the massacre of the miners at Ludlow in Southern Colorado.
The Gary Ball Memorial Concert Series honors Gary Ball, who was a well-loved social-environmental activist and musician in Colorado and Northern California for many years before his untimely passing in May, 2011. These concerts benefit the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center's work to fight the Trans-Pacific Partnership and corporate money in politics.
Tickets for each show cost $25. But for $40, you can get the two-show ticket and enjoy the whole magical evening!
During the intermission party, you can enjoy beer, food, and a spectacular silent auction featuring CDs of local artists, dinners at local cafés, photography gift certificates and a drawing for a framed custom portrait by Blue Crane Photography, valued at $3200.

We hope to see you there!
