Koi - Paint and Sip
Whenever I think about koi fish I think about beauty and grace. It was also fun to find out more about their significance in Japanese culture and what they really symbolize... Koi fish symbolize perseverance in adversity and strength in purpose. The strongest koi swim upstream until it reaches the waterfall, where it vaults into the mist and becomes a water dragon. Others say they are "living jewels" and the colors represent friendship, success, and family.
That is pretty cool huh!
This month Paint and Sip not only is bringing you a fun evening, but an opportunity to take home a painting with deeper meaning. Many folks who have joined us in the past have very little experience painting and or doing any art. We encourage you to be like the koi this month - jump into the evening with an open mind and the courage to try something new. By the end of the night, you'll be like the strongest koi who have reached the waterfall.
Rachel Cate, a wonderful local acrylic artist, will guide you through a step by step painting that you get to take home at the end of the night! This is the perfect way to unwind from your busy week. Bring a friend and an extra bottle, your guaranteed to have a fun night! No Experience necessary - All supplies provided - Bring yourself, a friend, and your creative juices.
