FRANKIE BOOTS & THE COUNTY LINE
Frankie Boots And The County Line are seven-piece folk-rock/Americana band from Santa Rosa, California. Fueled by the crazed whims of Frank's songwriting that has been described as "insightful, searing, and humorous at times...yet always honest.", they are prone to draw on all aspects of great American music whether it be country, rock, blues, gospel, bluegrassyou name it. Whatever sounds sweet gets tossed into The County Line's recipe and becomes a unique dish always served hot. Their captivating live performances keep a dance floor jumping and their magnetic songs have gotten them voted the best Country/Americana band in the north Bay Area by the North Bay Bohemian for 2013.
THE SAM CHASE
San Francisco based folk rock n roll. Winner: Best Band 2013 (SF WEEKLY) Winner: Best Singer Songwriter 2013 (SF BAY GUARDIAN)
The Sam Chase has a voice like a Nun on the lam with a mouthful cigarettes and curse words in a lonely bar, drunkenly dancing next to a broken jukebox. His songs are scribbled, not written, on lipstick and sweat stained motel bedsheets because he likes the way the ink bleeds. His guitar runs on diesel and leaks like the morning after too much Whiskey. His is a show you'll probably want to tattoo on your body so everyone will know that you knew him before he was cool.
THE CRUX
The Crux is part barn dance and part late-night Eastern European party. They mix the mood and texture of Tom Waits, the wild abandon of Gogol Bordello, and the rhythm and lyricism of the Devil Makes Three. Their new album, The Ratcatcher, is made up of songs from a play that frontman Josh Windmiller co-wrote with renowned North Bay theater troupe The Imaginists. The play and its songs have received awards in many publications, including the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
