"The Root of It All" - Nedelka Prescod and Earth Tones perform for Greater Boston House Concerts
Greater Boston House Concerts and the New England Conservatory Alumni Council present Nedelka Prescod in "The Root of it All"
Join vocalist Nedelka Prescod, winner of the New England Conservatory Tourjée Alumni Award, for an evening of musical reflections in "The Root of It All": a musical journey through time, back to roots and traditions and a connection with self. Reflecting on life as a woman, a mother and a musician of Afro-Latino heritage, Nedelka will share original songs and arrangements of love, spirituality, creation and cultural honor performed with dear friends she has met and joined artistic endeavors with on this leg of the journey. Her style reflects her upbringing in classical and religious music as well as her passion for folk music from the African Diaspora. Nedelka will be joined by her fellow quartet members, The Earth Tones featuring Arielle Armstrong, Joseph Copeland and Michael Mayo, and with special guests, Caio Afiune, guitar and Rob Flax bass. This promises to be a unique musical experience!
A Q&A and reception with Artists will follow the performance.
