The Sebastopol Community Band
Sebastopol Community Band was founded in 2000 under the direction of Frank Jilka, and is now under the Direction of Nathan Riebli. It began as a collection of musically inclined families who formed backyard marching band style groups for Fourth of July. Now the ensemble has grown to a full wind ensemble of brass, percussion, and woodwinds, and has band members from all over the county. The group performs classical, jazz, marches, and big band music. The Sebastopol Community Band is very excited to be performing at the new Center for the Arts. Our program is a sure audience favorite, featuring New Orleans Jazz and Broadway favorites, including St. James Infirmary,Tiger Rag, When the Saints Go Marching In, Comedy Tonight, and Seventy Six Trombones. The Band is joined by the director's father, Chris Riebli, vocalist and author from Graton. Hope to see you there, and don't forget your dancing shoes.
