"Tuning into the Business of Music for Film"
For a third year, WOW is partnering with the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival to present the Filmmaker Symposium as part of the festival. This year's symposium will be held Saturday, March 15 from 9:00am- 6:30pm at Woodbury University. The symposium will feature panel discussions with current filmmakers and industry leaders on key topics in filmmaking today.
"Tuning into the Business of Music for Film"
Music is an essential element in any film. This panel of industry leaders will tune into the complex arrangements involved in the process of music selection, licensing agreements and clearance requirements. They will also discuss the benefits of pre-existing and original music, contracting a composer or songwriter and soundtrack record deals. Discover the high and low notes in orchestrating the best musical sounds for your film from those who know the score.
