Irish Fair Kickoff Party
WHO:The Mahones, Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild and hundreds of Irish Fair enthusiasts!
Formed on St. Patrick's Day in 1990, The Mahones are heralded as pioneers of the Irish punk scene and internationally recognized as one of the best and hardest-working groups around. In this special performance, The Mahones will be playing a rare pub set, giving attendees a completely different look at this energetic band and ensuring a unique experience at the 2014 Irish Fair of Minnesota Kickoff Party.
The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild was founded in 2000 to promote Minnesota breweries, create an open line of communication between brewers and showcase local craft beer at events throughout the year.
WHAT:The fourth annual Irish Fair Kick-Off Party, featuring live entertainment from The Mahones and refreshments from the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild.
The Irish Fair Kick-Off Party is a major fundraiser for the Irish Fair of Minnesota helping to keep it the largest free Irish celebration in the country.
WHEN:Thursday, Aug. 7 from 7 10 p.m.
WHERE:Pub Tent Harriet Island in St. Paul
TICKETS:This is a 21+ ticketed event. Advance tickets are $20 through August 6 and $25 at the door (includes Minnesota craft beer showcase and tasting of 12+ beers).
MORE:The 2014 Irish Fair of Minnesota, a three-day annual celebration of Irish heritage and culture, will be held Friday, Aug. 8 through Sunday, Aug. 10 on Harriet Island in St. Paul, Minn. From internationally-known to locally-grown, the three entertainment stages will feature some of the best Irish music.
