Event
7th Annual World Savvy Gala
World Savvy is a national non-profit that educates and engages youth in community and world affairs, to prepare youth to learn, work and live as responsible global citizens in the 21st century.
Our annual event raises funds for our three programs:
1. The Global Youth Media and Arts Program is an arts and media education program which allows youth to use their own lives and communities as a platform to examine the global theme, Immigration and Identity.
2. The World Affairs Challenge is an academic program and competition on international affairs exploring an annual theme.
3. The Global Educators Program is a comprehensive professional development program that builds the content knowledge, skills, and capacity of educators to consistently integrate contemporary world affairs into teaching.
The World Savvy Monitor is a subscription-based current affairs service offering an in-depth synopsis of one issue or region each month. www.monitor.worldsavvy.org.
Following on last year's success, we will again be at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco's Japantown. The evening will begin with a silent auction and appetizers, then move to the main room for a seated dinner, performances by World Savvy youth and a live auction.
We are looking forward to a phenomenal evening and hope you can join us!
