Ana Lia & CaluJules Flamenco Plus
Dominican-Canadian singer-songwriter, Ana Lía, takes her debut album, Cíclica, on tour to the neighbouring city of Toronto: the City of Waterloo. Join her and her flamenco friends, Claudia & Julian, a.k.a. CalúJules, at one of Waterloo's hottest lives music venues: the Jazz Room in Uptown Waterloo. The night will start with a flamenco set, followed by renditions of Ana Lía's latest Cíclica songs, featuring her and guitarist, Benjamin Barrile.
Cíclica explores various stages of life that come and go, as cycles do. Cíclica is genre-bending, fun, reflective, romantic, and empowering. Ana Lía fuses her tropical roots, her Jazz and Flamenco training under the umbrella of pop music. Every song in Cíclica has an element of the Dominican Republic, her homeland. Cíclica is dedicated to her grandparents Tato, Tata and Abuela Fredé.
