KEUR-GUI CREW HIP-HOP SHOW
Award-winning Senegalese hip-hop group KEUR-GUI CREW, consisting of Kilifeu (a.k.a. Kalachnikov), Thiat (a.k.a. Mass 36), and DJ Gath, will discuss the role of hip-hop in instigating political and social change, particularly in youth movements in West Africa. The discussion will be followed by a live performance.
Doors open at 6:30pm Event begins at 7:00pm
Organized by the Division of French & Italian Studies with support from American Ethnic Studies; Comparative History of Ideas; and the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies (African Studies; Law, Societies and Justice).
