JAZZ IT UP @ JEFFREY'S Concert & Dining Experience with THE JOHN KORBA QUARTET in Concert
The popular supper club style monthly Jazz It Up @ Jeffrey's Concert & Dining Experience continues on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 7:00pm with a special evening of classic & original jazz and more with the John Korba Quartet in concert with accomplished pianist, vocalist and composer John Korba and his guest music artists at the cozy Jeffrey's Of Westfield, located at 114 Central Avenue in downtown Westfield, NJ.
A Cranford, NJ native, John Korba is equally comfortable performing pop, jazz and R&B. He has performed in the house bands for Rent, the long running Broadway musical, and Rain, the Broadway tribute to the Beatles. He has also appeared as George Harrison in the stage show of Beatle Majesty. He is also a member of a popular local band, the Hudson River Rats.
John Korba also held the position of associate conductor of the Broadway show "Rent" for four years. He held the same position in the Broadway productions of "The Civil War" and the "Rocky Horror Show". He has performed and recorded with Hall and Oates, Carly Simon, Todd Rundgren, Phoebe Snow, John Waite and numerous other artists.
His most recent solo CD release, entitled "In the Muse", is an eclectic mix of pop standards ("Almost Like Being in Love"), classic pop (the Beatles' "Julia," Danny O'Keefe's "Magdalena"), blues ("C.O.D. Blues"), and R&B (Donny Hathaway's "Tryin' Times").
He spends most of his time, when not touring, writing, recording and producing various projects in his own studio. Jazz It Up @ Jeffrey's tickets are priced at $39.95 per person including a choice of dinner entrée, chef's choice dessert and beverage. Additional bar service and event drink specials are also available. Seating and dinner service for the concert experience starts at 6:30pm. Showtime is from 7pm to 9pm.
