Skagit Symphony's Art in the Garden Bash
Skagit Symphony's Garden Tour has turned into one big party this year! We moved the event to August, and it has the added element of fabulous art installations throughout the beautiful 2-acre grounds! Come to Lavone Newell Reim's historic garden on Fir Island, in South Mount Vernon, where master gardeners will be strategically placed to discuss the unique plantings in this lush oasis of unique plants. That's not all this tour has to offer: this year's destination garden has the added feature of art! From the works of Clayton James to well-known local Skagit artists, including Alfred Currier, Margaret Horak, Jennifer Bowman and Margaret Carpenter Arnett, to name a few, you'll be surrounded by beauty. It wouldn't be a Skagit Symphony benefit without the sounds of music! We have beautiful ensemble treats up our sleeves for your listening pleasure as you float through this enchanting afternoon. Lastly, there will be fabulous locally made refreshments as well. Oh! And wine - did we mention there is wine?!
We suggest you allow two hours to see all there is to offer this year. Tickets purchased on Brown Paper Tickets will be 'will call' at the check-in table, as you arrive. The Bash is at Skagit City Gardens, 18598 Skagit City Road, Mount Vernon, 98273.
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted for raffle ticket sales, wine, exclusive Garden Notecard Sets, donations, and last-minute friends' tickets at the event site! All proceeds from this event help Skagit Symphony continue to be the "Melody of the Skagit Valley."
