Voices of Generation Zed (VOGZ)
Its all right. Or even if it isnt, it will be, I know it will be
Voices of Generation Zed is a theatre show made up of 12 short plays, each made by, for and with young people, brought to life by award winning playwright Kevin Dyer and performed by a new generation of the Northwests brightest young student actors.
These 12 micro plays are woke and proud of it. They present a view of the world which prioritises communication, listening, inclusivity, empathy, kindness, and friendship. These plays are tough talking but explore some of lifes challenges from the young persons perspective, with humour and resilience.
So, step up and step forward proudly the best generation ever; the mighty Generation Zed! Voices of Generation Zed explores themes of wellbeing, anxiety, transparency, honesty, gender identity, growing up, body positivity, neurodiversity and climate change responsibility.
Each mini play is around 5-6 minutes each and the whole performance lasts around an hour, performed by student actors from Cumbria and produced by a professional team The plays are not related to each other in their stories, but each explores the question what is it like to be young now in a world of exponential change?
Generation Zed (VOGZ) contains sexual swearing and mild sexual references.
Suitable for 13Yrs+ and adults.
