Creative Catalyst workshop: Co-Creating with Children and Young People
Join award winning theatre, drama and creative learning company Mortal Fools to explore what equitable co-creation can look like, and how we cultivate safe spaces that enable creative bravery whilst responding to the needs for contemporary young people.
Across this practice sharing workshop attending Theatre & Drama Practitioners will:
- Explore the practical techniques that Mortal Fools use to co-create theatre and drama with children and young people. - Learn about our creative process and our relational processes through practical examples. - Try out approaches to devising theatre with children & young people from a range of settings. - Learn new ways to supportively facilitate theatre & drama sessions. - Meet the Mortal Fools team and network with like-minded peer practitioners via a practical session. - Hear more about future work opportunities with Mortal Fools.
The workshop will be led by Mortal Fools Artistic Director and CEO Kiz Crosbie, Creative Producer Helen Ferguson and Practitioner & Coordinator Scott Wilson. We are keen to meet practitioners who are interested in co-creation, sharing their participatory practice and/or applying to work with us in the future.
This session is free to attend but pre-bookable.
