Bluegrass And Beyond, Thursday 7/27
We are so happy to come together again for the Folklife Festival! Please join Rise & Bloom, Fickle Hill, and Horse Mountain for a beautiful evening outside under the stars at Dell'Arte's Rooney Amphitheatre!
Box office and doors open at 5:30pm. Show starts at 6pm. $15 (or $10 for Humboldt Folklife Members), children 12 and under are $5. Babes in arms are free.

Rise & Bloom- Rise & Bloom's homegrown origins began after two farmers met at a local market. Matt Brunner (fiddle, vocals) & Ben Perone (banjo) soon discovered they're shared love of the old time fiddle & banjo traditions of a century ago.
After a decade of playing in barns and campers, around fires and in bars, they were joined by Kelsey Perone (guitar, vocals) who brought steady rhythm and sweet harmony to the romp and howl.
In recent years, two of Humboldts finest old time players (& Matt's band mates from Cidermill, and long time dance band favorite The Striped Pig String band), Brian Letts (guitar), and Cisco Haggerty (bass) have jumped in to add the big bounce and groove that completes Rise & Bloom's foot stomping, old trance dance tunes, tones, and songs. Rise & Bloom is a pre-bluegrass, traditional old time string band from Humboldt county California.
Fickle Hill- Born from the mystical depths of a hidden, enchanted forest, Fickle Hill combines their otherworldly talents to create a mind-bending fusion of bluegrass, cosmic vibrations, and intergalactic melodies. Fickle Hill takes audiences on an exhilarating journey through time and space. Their music transcends earthly boundaries, with banjo licks that ignite supernovas, fiddle solos that unravel cosmic mysteries, and harmonies that resonate with the very fabric of the universe. Prepare to have your senses scrambled as Fickle Hill takes the bluegrass scene to uncharted dimensions, where the laws of physics surrender to the boundless creativity of their musical sorcery. Horse Mountain- Leave your worries at home and get lost in a musical experience by local Americana band, Horse Mountain. All five members in this string band come from vastly different musical backgrounds ranging from funk music to old-time bluegrass. Horse Mountain brings you a truly one-of-a-kind sound with both heartfelt and rowdy original tunes as well as their own twist on some favorite covers. Stomp your boots to the rhythm of an outlaw country song then shed a tear or two on the slow songs surrounded by friends and family. Horse Mountain makes you remember how good it feels to be alive! This is a show you don't want to miss!
