Connie Dover & Skip Gorman in Concert
For over two decades, Connie Dover has been collecting and recording arrangements of the music of Ireland, Scotland and the American West at her studio in Missouri. She has performed around the world and made several appearances on NPR. The Boston Globe calls her "the finest folk ballad singer America has produced since Joan Baez."
During that same time Skip Gorman has been collecting and recording the traditional music of the American cowboy. Music that was performed around campfires by cowboys and westward settlers in the 19th century. He has performed on NPR's A Prairie Home Companion and on the soundtracks to several Ken Burns documentaries.
This is only their second appearance in North Carolina and a rare opportunity to catch these outstanding performers in concert.
