Trusteeship is a great way for professionals to actively get involved with social action by bringing their skills, experience and knowledge to make a demonstrable difference to the lives of children and young people in the North East.
Join this digital event hosted by theatre, drama and creative company and charity Mortal Fools, to find out more about Trusteeship, Trustee responsibilities, the value it can bring to your life and professional development and as a way for individuals to proactively enact meaningful change for young people, the arts sector, the North East and the Third Sector.
Across this event youll hear from:
Kiz Crosbie Mortal Fools CEO & Artistic Director Kiz will talk through an introduction to Mortal Fools Trusteeship, how Trustees add value to a charity like Mortal Fools, Mortal Fools ongoing Trustee Recruitment and what we are looking for alongside, sharing her experience as a Trustee at Dance City.
Colette Harrison - Development Officer, Community Foundation Colette will share a general introduction to Trusteeship, talk about why professionals might become Trustees, the personal and professional the value it can add to a Trustee personally and professionally, the impact it can enable for charities, their beneficiaries and social impact in communities and finally, she will walk through Community Foundations Trustee Match Programme.
Mortal Fools Trustees
Rachel Pattinson - CDT Manager (Digital Civics) and Strategic Cultural Partnerships Manager, Newcastle University. & Sue Spencer - Creative Facilitator and Coaching Consultant & Associate, Dovetail Strategies. Rachel & Sue will be sharing their journey into Trusteeship, why they got involved, what they support and have worked on and what they get out of it personally and professionally.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and informal discussion facilitated by Mortal Fools at the end of the session.
The session will have live captions enabled and members of Mortal Fools will be on hand in the Zoom space to support participation.
The session is free to attend and is for creative folks and professionals interested in Trusteeship in the creative, cultural and community sector and for folks, interested in Trusteeship at Mortal Fools and Community Foundation Trustee Match scheme.
