Event
Trikulanatha Initiation
Date: Saturday, July 29 Time: 2:00pm PT
In the Kriya Tantra system of the Vajrayana tradition, there are three main "families" that emphasize different qualities of enlightenment. In this uncommon mode of practice, three of the most important Bodhisattvas are meditated on as complete embodiments of those qualities: Manjushri for wisdom and the Tathagata family, Chenrezi for compassion and the Lotus family, and Vajrapani for abilities and the vajra family. Together, they are called the Trikulanatha - the masters of the three families (or "Rig Sum Gonpo" in Tibetan). Rinpoche will bestow the initiation for the combined practice of the Trikulanatha according to the teachings of the Kashmiri Pandita Jnanavajra as transmitted in the Sakya tradition.
Pre-requisites: Must be vegetarian for the day. Commitment: Refuge and bodhicitta.
