Sympho, Inc., the company that brought you REWIND and TRACES, presents the world premiere of FLECTION, an exhilarating visual and sonic classical music experience. This concert explores musically some of the intensely different emotional and psychological reactions Americans have had to Samuel Barbers iconic Adagio for Strings. Composers Paul Fowler, Judd Greenstein, and Paul Haas go head-to-head in this event, taking the audience on a journey away from and back to the Adagio at predetermined points of inflection.
Artists include soloists of chamber orchestra SymphoNYC and live electronica artist Paul Fowler, conducted by Sympho Artistic Director Paul Haas. Lighting and other visual and spatial elements transform the program into an engrossing multisensory experience.
Le Poisson Rouge is the newest music venue in New York's Greenwich Village, with atmosphere and personality to burn. Come early and grab dinner and drinks as you relax in your concert seats.
Performances Tuesday and Wednesday, May 5 and 6, 2009 at Le Poisson Rouge in Manhattans Greenwich Village. Both concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.
Sponsor tickets only available for May 5 performance, and include premium table seating at FLECTION plus admission to the exclusive post-concert reception on May 5. Please note that a donation above and beyond the purchase price of your ticket can be made at http://www.SymphoConcerts.org/support.php.
