Laura Citarella Argentina & Germany 2022 4h 20m
About (Laura Citarella, Argentina & Germany, 2022, 260 min, in Spanish with English subtitles)

The search for a missing woman unspools in two unexpectedly interconnected parts in Laura Citarellas playful new feature. The missing woman is Laura (Laura Paredes), a biologist cataloging plant species in and around the Argentinean city of Trenque Lauquen. The men searching for her: Rafael, her boyfriend, and Ezequiel, a coworker who has come to mean more to her in recent days. But in order to uncover the truth of Lauras disappearance, a profusion of mysteries must be explored. Theres the question of love letters hidden in books in the local library, the discovery of a new species of flower, and then theres the mysterious being, rumored to be haunting the lake at the center of town.
From El Pampero Cine, the collective behind La Flor, comes a labyrinthine tale of obsessive pursuit and the quest for personal freedom.
A singular jewela film that crackles with an inordinate fondness for storytelling and fuels a childlike receptivity to the fantastical. Leonardo Goi, MUBI Notebook

Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
