Music-Hall by Lagarce
"Music-Hall" follows the story of a small troupe in one of the oldest professions in the world -- the theatre. In this beautiful play by Jean-Luc Lagarce, the audience is invited into the innermost thoughts, triumphs and tragedies of La Fille, Boy 1 and Boy 2 in their vagabond, theatrical life.
American actress, Jackie Sanders, French Actor François Baron and Italian actor Jacoppo Rampini will perform this play in French as Lagarce wrote it with English supertitles, making it as easy to follow as a French film with subtitles.
Director Roxane Revon and several members of the Diffractions team will be translating this Lagarce favorite into English for the first time to provide the supertitles with the permission of Lagarce's estate.
Diffractions is honored to be the first company to bring this beautiful work to New York City.
