This three-session anticipatory grief workshop series is designed to help those anticipating the death of a beloved animal companion. Through activities, discussion, and reflection, participants will explore their emotions related to the upcoming loss. Participants will also learn coping strategies to help them navigate the grieving process. This series will provide a safe and supportive environment to honor your intimate bond with a beloved animal companion and explore what it means to love them before, during, and after death.
Your animal does not need to be sick or near death for you to attend. This series is for anyone experiencing significant stress or anxiety at the thought of an animal you love who is likely to die before you.
Sessions will be held via Zoom on June 7, 14, and 21 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Central Time.
Facilitated by Dallas Rising, an interfaith chaplain specializing in providing spiritual support for those who find the holy and sacred in interspecies connections. Participants need not identify as spiritual to attend - agnostics and atheists are very welcome!
