Los Angeles Pierce College Theatre's 2013-2014 Season continues in late March and early April with playwright Michael Hollinger's dark comedy about the dark ages, Incorruptible. Performances begin Friday, March 28 and continue through Sunday, April 6. Set in the dark ages, Incorruptible is an utterly unique, uproarious, outrageous comedy. Welcome to Priseaux, France, c. 1250 A.D.: The river flooded again last week. The chandler's shop just burned to the ground. Nobody's heard of the wheelbarrow yet. And Ste. Foy, the patron of the local monastery, hasn't worked a miracle in 13 years. In other words, the Dark Ages still look pretty dark. All eyes turn to the Pope, whose promised visit will surely encourage other pilgrims to make the trek and restore the abbey to its former glory. That is, until a rival church claims to possess the relics of Ste. Foyand "their" bones are working miracles. All seems lost until the destitute monks take a lesson from a larcenous one-eyed minstral, who teaches them an outrageous new way to pay old debts. LAPC Theatre's production of Incorruptible is directed by Valorie Grear. The cast features Dana Craig, Michelle Rose Hallbauer, Marilyn Lazik, Taylor LeClere, George Lindsey, Jr., Cody Petit, Kate Walsh and Eric White. Scenic and lighting design is by Michael Gend, with costume design by Eileen Gizienski and sound design by Edward Salas. Lyndsay Lucas is the stage manager.
The production opens on Friday, March 28 at 8pm, and continues on Saturday, March 29 at 8pm, Sunday, March 30 at 2pm, Friday, April 4 at 8pm, Saturday, April 5 at 8pm and Sunday, April 6 at 2pm.
