Shiver
Standing Wave, Vancouver's own Juno-nominated sextet, presents a concert of ground-breaking new chamber music. "Shiver," a new work by legendary Canadian composer Linda Bouchard, will feature the ensemble interacting with projected visuals created and manipulated by the composer. Newly minted Vancouver composer Michael Ducharme's multi-media work "Cosmic Microwave Background," and Gordon Fitzell's graphic-novel-inspired "Entropy" will also be featured, along with American composer David Coll's mind-expanding "Said What Choice Spoken." The program will open with Jocelyn Morlock's "Water Clocks," composed for the ensemble in 2009.
