Lesley Wolman in Jewish Women In Song...A Celebration
Singer, songwriter and actress, Lesley Wolman, performs her one woman cabaret show, "Jewish Women In Song..A Celebration," in which she pays tribute to 14 female Jewish singers, lyricists and composers.From Molly Picon and Sophie Tucker, to Janis Ian, Carole King and Bette Midler, from Eydie Gorme and Barbra Streisand to The Barry Sisters and Naomi Shemer, the show contains songs in English, Yiddish and Hebrew. Backed by The Michael Asher Trio, the show was written and directed by Rick Lieberman. It runs about an hour in length, and children over the age of 7 are welcome. You don't have to be Jewish to appreciate this show, as the music speaks for itself! The show runs for 3 nights, April 22, 28, 29 at The Pico Playhouse in Los Angeles. All seats are $25.00 , and showtime is 8:00 p.m.
