The Arizona Republic and The Phoenix Film Society present a screening of The Illusionist a film by Neil Burger
Starring: Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti and Jessica Biel

Before the screening there will be magicians and illusionists entertaining the audience.
Following the screening there will be a discussion about the film hosted by Bill Muller.
Synopsis:
Set in 1900 Vienna, this stunning romantic thriller is the story of Eisenheim, a brilliant mysterious magician bent on solving a puzzle that has eluded him since childhood. His ability to mesmerize crowds and his apparent attraction to the crown prince's fiance threatens the prince and ignites suspicion from the Chief Inspector. When the duchess is murdered, Eisenheim summons extraordinary powers in a desperate attempt to overcome the authorities, prove the prince guilty, and bring down the monarchy before it destroys him.
