Rowzaneh: A Sufi Project
Rowzaneh A Sufi Project is an evening of music, film, movement, storytelling and poetry that asks participants and audience to experience their inner selves inspired by the principles and teachings of Sufism in modern life. Artists Aida Shahghasemi, Santanu Chatterjee, and Dipankar Mukherjee take us on this journey as they share their explorations of essential questions of life through the metaphorical language of art and performance. Also featuring: actors Adlyn Carreras and Alberto Panelli, sound mixer and engineer Naj Bagdadi, lighting designer Jake Davis, costume designer Carolann Winther, and set installa- tion artists Danika Ragnhild and Dipankar Mukherjee
Rowzaneh - A Sufi Project is a part of TAMASHA, a series which deepens and expands our relationships with the local Sufi, South Asian, Iranian, and Latino/a communities by providing outreach opportunities alongside three new productions that explore the tamasha (commotion, excitement, play) of these intersecting communities.
