"Everything's Different"
Everythings Different is the first adaptation of J.D. Beresford's 1913 novel, "A World of Women," which explores the end of the Edwardian era and a deadly pandemic that eviscerates half the population and forces the survivors to face their limited worldview. In the style of H.G. Wells, the story follows a typical London family from the shock and devastation of their safe city to the hardscrabble new life in the farmland outskirts. Adapted by SAAS Theater teacher Michael Cimino and performed by members of the Advanced and Intermediate Acting classes, this will be the first time this story and these characters will ever be dramatized in our totally original production. It is a tale of one hundred years ago, but questions of gender and self-sufficiency roil underneath a very topical story about life in a pandemic world turned upside down.
