The applauded CubaCaribe Festival of Dance and Music marks its fifth anniversary. 5, 50, 500...years of tradition celebrates the multiplicity and inter-connectivity of time-honored and experimental performance arts in the Bay Area, Cuba, and the Americas. Over the course of three weekends CubaCaribe marks 5 years of the festival, 50 years since the Cuban Revolution, and 500 years of the colonization of the Americas. Drawing on the distinguished presenting performance artists the festival presents dance and music genres assembled from the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora...
